Guilty Pleasures – Guest Post!

Hey all, Hedonist here.  I’m currently in Mexico in a search for the perfect burrito, avoiding the Federales, and working on further enhancing my genetic tan.  The kids and in-laws will be with us so, unfortunately, tan lines will be unavoidable.  How’s that for a mental image?  I bet it’s still better than the eye-scarring beach picture of Ke$ha I posted last week.

I was thinking of posting a rerun, but decided on bringing in a guest blogger.  Selecting the right blogger was a no-brainer as my mind went directly to someone who lives Guilty Pleasures – Jules, creator of Go Guilty Pleasures!

Enjoy this post and don’t forget to check out her site.

When The Hedonist asked me if I had any interest in doing a guest post for his Friday feature on guilty pleasure songs, my first thought was, “Interest?! I live for this shiz!”

Next came the issue of narrowing it down to just one song. The reason I have an entire blog dedicated to guilty pleasures is because it is the one topic I know I’ll never exhaust. There is no guilty pleasure too great or too small, and I can justify them all. (One of them is tooting my own horn. I’m really very good at that.)

I also married my husband based solely on his ability to write songs.  About me.   Somehow, I finally narrowed it down to my favorite guilty pleasure song due to the following:

  1. I love a cappella. All of it.
  2. Every time I hear this jam my heart explodes with happiness.
  3. Not only is this song amazing, but the video will bring back some of your my favorite memories.

Have you guessed what it is yet? Probably not. Oh, you are in for a treat. Sit back, relax, Grab a drink, get out your lighter, and enjoy…

Like like like times a BILLION!!! Thanks so much for the opportunity to write this, John, it was a hoot and a HALF. And I love your blog.

Also, does guest post status entitle me to a free perfect burrito?

Since I’m about a billion years older than you, the Growing Pains theme song didn’t quite melt my heart of stone. Why is the waitress taking so long with my burrito (and complementary tequila)?
