Exercise Music – More from the Barre

How are those New Year’s resolutions going?

I’m still trucking along with my 10-day lemonade cleanse, dreaming of next Friday when I dive head-first/no-hands into a big ol’ pile of fried chicken topped with a cheeseburger wrapped up in a burrito.  Yes, I know I would’ve just lost several pounds and that’s not a good way to keep them off.  But damn, I’m starting to miss food.

I guess I need to remind myself of that old dieter’s mantra – no food tastes as good as Channing Tatum feels.

Or something like that.

I know a lot of you made a resolution to exercise more so I figured this is a good time to add to your playlists.  A while ago I featured some songs that are played during the Pure Barre classes I take.  That post was really popular, so I figured I’d post a few more.

Collide by Leona Lewis (ft Avicii)

King Without a Crown by Matisyahu – saw him at Lollapalooza years ago.  One of the funnest shows ever.

Awooga by Calvin Harris

Throw Your Hands Up (ft Pitbull & Lucenzo) – We heard this at least 2-3x a day in the Dominican Republic

I’m So Paid – Akon (ft Lil Wayne & Young Jeezy)

Did you resolve to exercise more?  Any good jams to add to my playlist?

I don’t know how you are working out without eating.
How much are you looking to lose for this to be worth it?

I’m trying to get back to my birth weight.

Seriously, didn’t have any goal in mind, just clean start to new year. Exercising isn’t too bad. Hardest part is leaving house in the frickin polar vortex

Love that “throw your hands up” song!
Hang in there with the cleanse – but promise you won’t do the nasty fried chicken celebration at the end!
    Happy Friday!

    Oh Channing….

Thanks for the music update — I love this since I make my own mixes for when I run or do makeshift barre sessions at home and I’ve been totally struggling to find new stuff update it with. None of these songs are on there, so my spotify is going to be busy tonight!
