Were you learning how to ride a bike? Maybe you were mowing lawns for a measly five bucks. Or perhaps you were hitting the beach with all of your friends who were back in town from college. Or were you sitting in an office cubicle not entirely different than the one you’re sitting in now. Sorry to depress…
I know what I was doing 16 years ago today. I was nursing a big ol’ hangover because a lot of beer, wine, champagne, and Prairie Fires (Tequila + Tabasco) make for a lethal combination. My body was sore from all the crazy dancing (Macarena anyone?) we were doing the night before.
We stayed out ‘til 2am in a hotel lobby bar that was supposed to close an hour earlier. We were ready to go for a few more hours but decided to dial it back a little because we knew the party would keep going through the whole weekend.
What was the occasion? Well, 16 years ago yesterday (June 21st) Boom Boom and I were saying this…
By the way, this is probably my favorite song of the year.
I don’t know what the hell I was doing 16 years ago,let alone 16 years ago today lol.
I barely remember 16 hours ago.
Happy anniversary then. I was 11 at that time and summer was starting so I imagine i wasn’t doing a whole lot.
Dang, a youngun… Wasn’t that an awesome time though – where you didn’t have to do anything in particular?
Lol. I teach on the college level so I have moments like that still sometimes.
Happy Belated Anniversary fellow June-married-person! Sixteen years ago I was working at a nutritional supplement company… and probably conducting forklift races in the warehouse.
I gotta start a bucket list so that’ll be on it. Forklift racing, not working at a supplement company.
LOL it was actually a great job to work at! Lots of perks, but the forklift racing was the most fun part 😉
Happy Anniversary!! 16 years ago I was wondering where the love of my life was…..It took him another 2 years to find me but thank God he did – he’s a keeper!!
Sweet!
hmmm…16 years ago I was 16. Studying to get my drivers permit, wondering which friends house we were going to sleep at that weekend, looking forward to soaking up the sun poolside. ah, the frivolous life of a teenage girl.
16 years ago…. I was 10 and trying to figure out why girls were so distracting. I was transitioning into that awkward stage when things were tingling and it wasn’t my spider-sense, if you know what I mean.
Also I was watching Pinky and the Brain.
Haha.. They’re still distracting!
